Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 12 June 2025 · Effective Date: 12 June 2025
These terms set out the basis on which Legara ("we", "us", "our"), located at 211 Thanon Rama IV, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand, provides its estate organising workshops, document inventory support, and legacy conversation membership to participants ("you").
By booking a session, joining the membership, or using our website, you agree to these terms. If anything is unclear, please contact us at [email protected] before proceeding.
1. Nature of Our Services
All Legara offerings — including the Estate Organising Workshop, Document Inventory Toolkit & Support, and Legacy Conversation Membership — are educational and organisational in nature. They are designed to help individuals and families think about tidying and cataloguing personal documents and to facilitate open family conversations about those matters.
Nothing we provide constitutes legal, financial, taxation, or estate-planning advice. We do not draft wills, trusts, or any legal instruments. We do not prepare tax documents. We do not act as qualified professionals in any regulated field. All participants are encouraged to consult qualified solicitors, notaries, financial planners, and other registered professionals for personal arrangements. We may, from time to time, suggest appropriate official bodies or professional associations for referral purposes.
2. Booking and Payment
Places on sessions and access to the membership are confirmed upon receipt of payment. Prices are listed in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment terms and accepted methods will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Prices are subject to change. Any change will not affect a booking that has already been confirmed and paid.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations by you: If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, please notify us as soon as possible by email. Cancellations made at least 7 calendar days before a scheduled session are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before a session may be offered a transfer to a future session date, subject to availability, rather than a monetary refund.
Cancellations by Legara: In the event we need to cancel or reschedule a session, we will notify you promptly and offer either a full refund or a transfer to an alternative date.
Memberships: Monthly memberships may be cancelled by giving written notice. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. Partial-month refunds are not ordinarily provided.
4. Participant Conduct
Our sessions are designed to be a calm, respectful, and inclusive space. We ask all participants to engage with courtesy toward facilitators and fellow attendees. We reserve the right to ask any participant whose conduct is disruptive or disrespectful to leave a session, without refund, if their behaviour materially affects the experience for others.
Information shared by other participants during sessions is shared in a spirit of openness. Participants are asked to treat such disclosures with discretion and not to share personal details about others outside the session environment.
5. Intellectual Property
All templates, checklists, guides, workbooks, and other materials provided as part of our services remain the intellectual property of Legara. They are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or sell them without our prior written consent.
All content on our website — including text, design, and imagery — belongs to Legara or its licensors. Use of the website does not grant any licence to copy or adapt that content.
6. Limitation of Liability
We take care to prepare and deliver our sessions thoughtfully, but we make no promises about outcomes or results of any kind. How you choose to act on what you learn in our workshops is entirely your own decision.
To the extent permitted by Thai law, Legara shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from attendance at our sessions, use of our materials, or reliance on information discussed during sessions. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the relevant service.
7. Privacy and Personal Data
We collect and use personal data in accordance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA). For full details of what we collect, why, and how to exercise your rights, please read our Privacy Policy.
8. Cookies
Our website uses cookies for essential functionality and to understand how visitors interact with our content. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any disputes arising from your use of our services or website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bangkok, Thailand.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify registered participants by email. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
